Moritz Eis, Belgrade, Serbia
Hands on our hearts ‘Moritz Eis’ is definitely the best ice cream parlor we’ve ever been to. Chances are you won’t find often place with such unique combination of flavours, great design, amazing service and attention to the detail. After a whole day exploring the beautiful Belgrade by foot, one misdirected trip to the other side of the river Sava, one failed visit to the Museum of contemporary art and the tower in the Zemun neighborhood, one actual visit to the Museum of applied arts, we were feeling pretty happy about relaxing in the lands of the Serbian ice cream heaven ‘Moritz Eis’.
Every single thing inside is meticulous and as you can see just by looking at the photos it’s very hip, minimal, yet with a vintage twist. The sales lady was more than nice and friendly inviting us to taste like 10 samples of the amazing artisan ice cream until we decide what to order. There are endless combinations and flavours, from the more ‘ordinary’ ones like chocolate or vanilla to interesting tastes from abroad like Dulce de leche and Chirimoya. Whichever of the tasty refreshing sorbets or delicate gelatos you choose you won’t regret it. At all.
After of what we’re sure a long debate over your order you can go upstairs and dive in the comfy chairs and sofas, play the piano or go through all the cool photos hanging on the walls.
‘Moritz Eis’ is without doubt a must visit while in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Montenegro or even Chile!
All of the cups and spoons used in “Moritz Eis” are biodegradable. All the goodies are human friendly, except for those poor lactose intolerant ones. We feel you. Waffles maybe?
