MOKA Bar in Burgas, Bulgaria
A hipster morning routine can’t go without coffee and a green smoothie, right? We were making our way to the Burgas harbor the closest café from our list of cool spots turned out to be MOKA Bar. While the gastronomical scene in Burgas is still asleep, MOKA Bar is open from 8 am for all the “morning people” and the unfortunate ones who need to go to work that early. No matter which of the following you are, you can visit the café on the way to go and make sure to get your creative fuel for the whole day ahead. Be careful not to miss the freshly baked French croissants that smell like melted butter if you decide to visit later.
The sign tells us that this is not just a café to kick start your day but a place to visit after work hours as well. This venue offers a.m. coffee and croissants to p.m. beer and drinks and everything in between. The smoothies here are on point! Definitely one of the best we’ve tasted – healthy with a balanced taste, consistency, and ingredients. Served in a practical, yet branded cup to go, we’ve liked the attention to the small details. The good news for the lactose intolerant and vegans are they won’t have to limit their coffee options only to plain espresso and they can enjoy every other variation with soy milk, thank God for it!
The interior looks a bit like it came straight out of an IKEA mockup room peppered with maybe a bit too many artsy elements and inspirational quotes on the walls. Two sofa chairs give an extra cozy feeling allowing you to comfortably read a book or work on your laptop.
You will notice MOKA Bar from afar because of the open bar on the pavement with high chairs that invite you to stop by. Drink your coffee like an Italian – a quick shot of espresso while standing at the bar and you are ready to go!
